Solar and gate cameras

The view you care about is often a gate with no power point. A solar camera can cover it, and we plan where the footage records and how you'll watch it.

When solar is the right choice

Solar suits a gate on a long driveway, a fuel tank, or a lane that will never have power. We still plan the mount, how the camera is secured, and where the footage is stored.

When a cable is the better job

If we can run a cable, that is usually more reliable than a battery. Winter sun on a south-facing Gippsland gate is weak, so a solar camera there needs a proper check, not a promise that it will just work.

Where the cable stops

For a gate the cable can't reach, our rural pole camera is the answer. The pole camera page has the full details and prices.

A Starlink dish is never mounted on a ground pole or a yard pole. The pole carries cameras and radios only.

Map your home, shed, stable, office or gate before we quote your network. Drop a pin on each building. We check line of sight and distance on site before we quote, so we can tell whether house Wi-Fi will reach or a building needs its own link.
