VINCONNECT STARLINK INSTALLATION TERMS & CONDITIONS

By booking, accepting, or proceeding with any installation services provided by VINCONNECT, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Installation Appointment
Appointment times provided by VINCONNECT are estimates only. Arrival times may vary due to traffic conditions, weather, site access requirements, previous appointments, or unforeseen circumstances.
The customer agrees to:
Provide safe and unobstructed access to all required work areas.
Ensure a person aged 18 years or older is present during the installation unless alternative arrangements have been approved.
Secure all pets and animals during the installation.
Ensure all required Starlink equipment is available on site, including the Starlink dish, router, cable, power supply and any supplied mounting hardware.
2. Standard Installation Scope
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a standard installation includes:
Roof or wall mounting using a supplied Starlink mount or an approved compatible mounting solution.
External cable run secured to the exterior of the building.
One (1) external wall penetration.
One (1) brush wall plate.
Router placement near an existing power outlet.
Standard installation materials, fixings, sealants and consumables.
3. Exclusions & Additional Works
Standard installation pricing does not include:
Concealed cabling.
Conduit installation.
Roof cavity cabling.
Ceiling space cabling.
Internal wall cavity cabling.
Underfloor cabling.
Trenching or underground cabling.
Custom cable routes.
Wi-Fi extenders or mesh networking equipment.
Custom brackets, poles, mounts or mounting solutions.
Electrical work or power point installation.
Additional labour, materials, hardware, cable runs or non-standard works may incur additional charges. Any additional costs will require customer approval before work proceeds.
4. Mounting Equipment
Mounting equipment may be supplied by Starlink, VINCONNECT or the customer.
VINCONNECT is not responsible for:
Incorrect, unsuitable or defective mounts supplied by Starlink or the customer.
Structural limitations of the mounting surface.
Additional hardware required due to site-specific conditions unless approved by the customer.
VINCONNECT's workmanship warranty applies only to installation workmanship and does not extend to Starlink hardware, routers, cables, mounts or accessories supplied by Starlink or third parties.
5. Installation Decisions
The final location of the Starlink dish, cable route and router placement will be determined by VINCONNECT based on:
Safety requirements.
Site conditions.
Signal performance requirements.
Starlink installation guidelines and specifications.
Where the customer is not present, VINCONNECT may rely on instructions provided by telephone, SMS, email or an authorised representative. Installations completed in accordance with those instructions will be deemed accepted by the customer.
6. Building Materials & Cosmetic Impacts
Installation requires drilling, fixing and modification of existing building materials.
The customer acknowledges that minor cosmetic impacts may occur, including but not limited to:
Brick or mortar chipping.
Render cracking.
Plaster damage around penetrations.
Paint disturbance.
Visible sealants.
Drill dust and debris.
VINCONNECT is not liable for cosmetic impacts arising from:
Standard installation practices.
Existing defects or structural weaknesses.
Brittle, aged or deteriorated materials.
Hidden structural issues.
Water damage.
Non-compliant building works.
Asbestos-containing materials.
7. Hidden Services
While reasonable care is taken, VINCONNECT is not responsible for damage to concealed or undisclosed:
Electrical wiring.
Plumbing.
Water pipes.
Gas lines.
Data cabling.
Communications services.
Other hidden infrastructure.
The customer is responsible for identifying and disclosing any known hidden services before installation begins.
8. Site Safety
VINCONNECT reserves the right to alter, postpone or refuse any installation where:
Site conditions are considered unsafe.
Access is restricted.
Specialist access equipment is required.
Additional personnel are required.
Structural works are necessary.
Weather conditions create safety risks.
Any additional costs associated with safe access requirements may be charged to the customer upon approval.
9. Photographs & Documentation
The customer authorises VINCONNECT to take photographs of the installation before, during and after completion for:
Quality assurance.
Warranty records.
Insurance purposes.
Compliance documentation.
Training and internal record keeping.
Photographs will not intentionally disclose personal information unrelated to the installation.
10. Property Approvals
The customer is solely responsible for obtaining all required approvals before installation, including but not limited to approvals from:
Property owners.
Landlords.
Body corporates.
Owners corporations.
Building managers.
Local authorities where required.
VINCONNECT accepts no responsibility for unauthorised installations where approvals have not been obtained.
11. Clean-Up & Packaging
Unless otherwise agreed:
Starlink packaging remains the customer's responsibility.
Disposal of removed equipment remains the customer's responsibility.
General site clean-up outside the immediate work area is not included.
Minor drilling dust, packaging materials and installation debris may remain and are the customer's responsibility to remove.
12. Starlink Services
VINCONNECT provides installation services only.
VINCONNECT is not responsible for:
Starlink service performance.
Internet speeds.
Service interruptions or outages.
Starlink account management.
Subscription charges.
Hardware warranties.
Starlink software or firmware issues.
All Starlink service-related matters remain the responsibility of Starlink.
13. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than twenty-four (24) hours notice may incur a cancellation, administration or call-out fee.
If a technician attends and the installation cannot proceed due to:
Missing equipment.
Denied access.
Unsafe site conditions.
Undisclosed site requirements.
Lack of required approvals.
VINCONNECT may charge a service or call-out fee.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VINCONNECT's liability is limited to the value of the installation service provided.
VINCONNECT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or economic loss arising from the installation, use or operation of Starlink equipment or services.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
15. Acceptance
By booking, authorising, paying for, or proceeding with installation services, the customer confirms they have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
