Rural Connections Initiative · Victoria 2026–27
Free Wi-Fi and plain answers at country shows.
We plan to set up a free Wi-Fi hub at country shows and field days, and we keep plain-English rural internet guides free on this site.
What it includes
In person
Rural Connection Hub
A hub at agricultural shows, field days and rural events, with free temporary Wi-Fi, shade, demonstrations and farmer-health information. No sales pitch.
Online
Rural & Remote Info Hub
Free guides on this site: Starlink and Wi-Fi in plain English, digital safety, CCTV and remote monitoring, and links to recognised health and community services.
System level
Connectivity advocacy
We write down the internet problems people raise at the hub and pass them on to councils, industry and government. Satellite is one option. It doesn't replace fibre, mobile or fixed wireless.
Free to use
The guides are free and don't need an email address. If you want a quote for work, that's a separate enquiry.
