Starlink installation in Cowes

Cowes is the main town on Phillip Island, with about 6,600 people at the 2021 census. It sits on the island's north coast, looking across Western Port to French Island and the Mornington Peninsula, and a passenger ferry runs to Stony Point. Golden cypress trees planted from 1912 line Thompson Avenue, the main street, down to the jetty and Cowes Beach, which was named among Australia's best beaches for 2025. The town grew into a holiday resort in the 1920s.
