Starlink on a tripod

Maryknoll, Victoria

This Maryknoll property sits on open acreage surrounded by bushland. It had been relying on an older copper NBN connection that kept dropping out. For a household that needs the internet to simply work, every call, upload and evening of streaming was a gamble.

We replaced it with Starlink. On the Colorbond roof we fitted a tripod mount, secured to the roof screws, and positioned the dish high on the roof plane with a clear view of the sky over the tree line. The cable was run neatly from the dish to the router inside, and we tested the connection before we left.

The result is a connection that no longer depends on ageing copper in the street. If you're on an older NBN line in the Cardinia hills and fed up with dropouts, Starlink is often the quickest fix.
