Yarragon is a small town on the Princes Highway, halfway between Warragul and Moe. The hills of the Strzelecki Ranges rise over 500 metres right behind it, with Mount Worth State Park to the south-south-west, and the Moe River flats lie to the north. It was a dairy and logging town. Since the 1990s its main street has filled with cafes and shops for passing traffic, earning the nickname Yarragon Village. Yarragon South and Allambee are up in the hills.
