The short version
If your roof is tiled, we fit an under-tile mount.
The bracket fixes to the side of a roof truss, under the tiles. The tile slides back down over the bracket. No tiles are drilled, and the mount is held by the roof frame, not the tile.
How it goes on
- We slide a tile up and fix the bracket to the side of a roof truss.
- The tile slides back down over the bracket.
- The arm comes out from under the tiles, over the gutter, and a 400 to 600 mm mast holds the Starlink Standard dish clear of the roofline.
- The cable is tied to the mount and run neatly into the house through a cable entry point.
- We set up the router and test the connection before we leave.
Why we use it on tiles
- No holes in the tiles.
- The bracket is fixed to the roof frame.
- The dish sits clear of the roofline, so it has open sky.
Our three mounts
We use three mounts, and we pick the one that suits the building:
See them side by side on roof, wall and tripod mounts, or read the full guide, choosing a Starlink mount.
- Under-tile mount for tile roofs.
- Tripod for Colorbond roofs, tied down using the existing roof screws. Our Cranbourne West install used a tripod on a double-storey corrugated metal roof.
- Wall mount, under the fascia or gutter, or on a wall, when that's the better spot. We always check the fascia first.
What it costs
Enter your address on Get my price for your install price. On a tile roof the under-tile mount adds $150. Travel for your address is added to the price.
The Starlink kit comes from Starlink. Our price is the install, not the kit.
